COEN VERMEEREN was born in 1962 in Breda. Coen Vermeeren sang as a treble in the Breda Sacrament Choir. He studied Aerospace engineering and was awarded a PhD in 1996 at Delft University of Technology. He is conductor at the Breda Music Institute and together with Henri de Graauw conducts The Chorale of Breda Cathedral. In addition to his work he is at present studying composition with Daan Manneke of the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. For the first Three Choirs Festival in Breda in 1994 he wrote the three-choir work Apocalypsis lohannis. He has also composed:
Missa O Magnum Mysterium with accompanying motet
Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis
Missa Puer Natus with accompanying motet
Various motets (including Ave Maria, Jubilate Deo and five Passion motets)
