DAVID
R. WHITE
joined the Atlanta Boy Choir as Artistic Director in 2001. Prior to that he was
Music Director of the Florida Singing Son's Boychoir. He founded the Boy Choir of the
Carolinas in 1993. He brings with him a strong background in vocal
conducting. He has served as conductor of the Greenville (South Carolina) Symphony
Orchestra Chorus as well as conducting choirs as Director of Music at Second Presbyterian
Church in Greenville. In addition to conducting, Mr. White has been a featured soloist
with numerous choral organizations and orchestras in the Southeast. He was a member of
Robert Shaws Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus from 1987-1990. Mr. White has been a
frequent participant in conducting seminars taught by such eminent conductors as Robert
Shaw, James Litton, Sir David Willcocks, Donald Neuen, Doreen Rao and Anton Armstrong. Mr.
White holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from Georgia College.
